Clean Water for Our Children
One of the best ways to insure clean water for future generations is to educate our children on the importance of wastewater treatment. In America, we dirty a lot of water, and the water has to be cleaned up before it is returned to the environment. Swimmers, boaters, fishermen, crabbers... everyone has a stake in clean water!

Visit Your Local Wastewater Treatment Plant
One good way to become better educated about wastewater treatment is to visit your local wastewater treatment plant. The South Central Wastewater Treatment Plant in Petersburg, Virginia welcomes visitors. You can sign up to tour the plant - visit this page to see how.
